Providing Auction Services Since 1976
Since our beginnings more than 40 years ago when we were called Dick Backes Auctioneers, we have always been a family business focused on providing professional auction services to our clients. Thanks to a professional, courteous and knowledgeable staff, we have grown into one of the leading Auction businesses in the Midwest.
Each year, we conduct more than 100 appraisals and auctions for the food service, commercial, industrial and agricultural industries. We are proud to be members of the Iowa and National Auctioneers Associations and have certifications in Auction Marketing Management (AMM) and with the Certified Auctioneers Institute.
We’ve been certified to provide realty services since 2003, when Backes Realty was incorporated. This allowed us to enhance our auction services and provide better service for our clients. We currently provide services for financial institutions, attorneys, landlords and business owners.
